On May 22, within the framework of the annual project «Flying Squad», members of the Center for the Study of Religious Problems of Kostanay region held a meeting with students dedicated to the prevention of terrorism.
Ekaterina Petrovna Belashova, a specialist at the Center for the Study of Religious Problems of the Department of Religious Affairs of the Akimat of Kostanay region, gave a lecture to students on the topic «Destructive religious movements». In her lecture, the speaker drew attention to the problems of involving the younger generation in radical activities via the Internet, where information is often presented in a distorted form.

Ekaterina Petrovna also shared precautions when using social networks to help young people avoid dangerous situations and involvement in radical groups.
In addition, a scene was shown at the meeting demonstrating how people are recruited into destructive religious movements. This helped students better understand the methods used by recruiters and realize how important it is to be vigilant and critically evaluate information received from various sources.
Students actively participated in the discussion, asked questions and received important information on how to recognize and avoid the influence of destructive religious movements. The enrollment was 250 students.
