«The noble son of our people is the great Abai»

As part of the regional action plan, within the walls of Kostanay Higher College of Kazpotrebsoyuz, teachers of the Kazakh language and Literature Department of General Education disciplines held an event «Khalkymyzdyn asyl perzenti – uly Abai» on September 24, 2025, dedicated to the 180th anniversary of Abai Kunanbayev.

The goal is to popularize the life and work of the great poet, thinker, educator of the Kazakh people Abai Kunanbayev, enrich the spiritual world of youth and foster respect for national values.

The students’ creativity and love of art resonated with the audience. Students of groups Pk-20, Bsd-6, Bsd-7, M-227, Bsdk-3, L-15, Bk-25 took an active part, expressively read Abai’s poems, quoted excerpts from his prose and performed the poet’s songs. The organizers, T.T. Tuleubayeva, S.S. Igisinova, and M.D. Yessimkhan, were able to increase students’ interest in national spiritual values and re–emphasized the importance of the great thinker’s legacy.
