Master class «AI among us» for 9th grade students

An innovative master class on artificial intelligence was held at the Kostanay Higher College of Kazpotrebsoyuz as part of career guidance work.

On January 22, 2025, Kostanay Higher College of Kazpotrebsoyuz hosted a unique educational event – a workshop titled «AI Among Us,» designed for 9th-grade students. This event exemplified how a modern educational institution keeps pace with technological trends, opening doors to the world of artificial intelligence for the younger generation.

The workshop was led by Alexander Yuryevich Khudyakov – a teacher of information disciplines, engineer, and Master of Engineering in Information Technology and Robotics. His deep knowledge and professional experience allowed him to present complex AI concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.

The workshop program was carefully designed for maximum learning effectiveness. Participants were introduced to key artificial intelligence concepts, including the specifics of working with prompts – special instructions for AI systems. Special attention was paid to the practical application of generative neural networks, which are actively used in various fields today.

The event format organically combined lectures and live discussion, which promoted active engagement of students in the educational process. The students showed genuine interest in the topic, asking numerous questions and participating in lively discussions. This clearly demonstrated how ready modern youth are to embrace advanced technologies.

The workshop culminated in a practical session where participants were tasked with creating prompts for developing a virtual nutrition consultant and physical exercise trainer. This assignment not only allowed them to apply their newly acquired knowledge in practice but also demonstrated the real-world applications of AI in everyday life. All participants who successfully completed the assignment received certificates, while the authors of the best works were awarded special diplomas.
