Forming a professional model of a lawyer: from theory to practice

From October 13 to October 16, practical classes in the discipline «Criminal Procedural Law» were held in the groups of the third year of the specialty «Jurisprudence» P-79 and P-80 on the topic: «The procedure for obtaining samples.»
Practice has become an important part of the educational process, allowing students to apply their theoretical knowledge in conditions close to real investigative activities. Each student conducts a «Criminal Case» as part of an educational simulation and, at the investigation stage, identified a suspect from whom comparative samples were to be obtained.
A special feature of the class was that the students acted as forensic experts. They independently carried out the procedure for fingerprinting suspects, as well as collecting other biological samples — hair and saliva, in compliance with the procedural rules and requirements provided for by the criminal procedure legislation.
This form of training not only forms the professional skills of future lawyers, but also develops analytical thinking, attention to detail and the ability to work in a team. Teacher Zarina Naimanovna Uspanova noted the high level of training of students and their interest in practical aspects of law enforcement.
The practical classes were held in a rich, dynamic environment and became an important stage in preparing students for future professional activities in the field of law and criminal justice.
