Round table on the topic: «International Anti – Corruption Day — interesting facts 2024»

On December 10, 2024, as part of the International Anti – Corruption Day, a round table on the topic «International Anti-Corruption Day — interesting facts 2024» was held at the Kostanay Regional University named after A. Baitursynov.
The purpose of the event was to raise awareness among participants about the global problem of corruption, discuss its impact on the development of society and share experiences in combating this phenomenon.
One of the active participants of the event was a student of the P-79 group, Khamitova Zarina, who made a presentation on the topic: «The role of society in the fight against corruption».
In her speech, Zarina stressed that:
The fight against corruption is impossible without the active participation of civil society.
Transparency, awareness and citizen engagement are key factors in the fight against corruption.
She gave examples of international experience where public initiatives have played a significant role in increasing the accountability of government agencies. The event ended with a lively discussion, where students and invited guests offered ideas for creating a more open and honest system of relationships in society.
