The business incubator at the Kostanay Higher College of Kazpotrebsoyuz is a project designed to support students who want to become an entrepreneur after completing their studies.

In the modern world, the quality of education is determined by the formation of the student’s competencies that will help him in professional self-realization.

The business incubator created at the college is an opportunity to create a youth entrepreneurial environment that promotes the development of students’ professional and socio-personal competencies that influence students’ self-determination and their motivational readiness for professional activity.

The main purpose of the business incubator is to help develop business ideas and turn them into real business projects.

So, within the framework of the business incubator, from October to December of this year, the following events were held:

1. Brainstorming ideas: Group work on generating business ideas
2. Workshop: How to develop a business plan: A simple guide to creating a business plan.Financial Literacy training: Fundamentals of financial planning for aspiring entrepreneurs.
3. Coworking sessions: Working together on business ideas.
4. Networking session. Meetings with local entrepreneurs:An example of successful businesses.Master classes from graduates: Students who have already implemented their projects.
5. Marketing research. Conducting marketing research and providing results on the relevance of the proposed product/service.
6. Marketing and promotion — The basics of marketing: How to promote your idea or product on the Internet (social networks, advertising). Creating a project presentation: We learn how to prepare a short and convincing presentation for potential investors or partners.
7. Pitching and attracting investments — Pitching training: How to present your idea to investors or partners, with the participation of representatives from Atameken.
8. Preview. Summing up the results. Mini-lecture: Legal foundations of business.

The final event of 2024, within the framework of the business incubator, was the «Festival of Business Ideas. Demo day», where students demonstrated their projects, which took place on December 20, 2024.

The projects were evaluated by a competent jury:

1. Bayeshov Dastan Abdimaulenovich, specialist of the Department of VET;

2. Beketaev Amangeldy Atymtaevich, Director of MFO Atameken Kostanay LLP;

3. Nurusheva Aizhan Sabyrzhanova, Deputy Director for Support Work;

4. Zarina Narimanovna Usmanova, Deputy Director of Educational, Methodical and Production Work;

5. Vasilenko Sofya Vasilyevna, teacher of special disciplines.

According to the results of the competition, the jury members determined the winners:

1st place «Le.mila» team;

2st place «ECOCUP» team;

3st place «MICOLOGISTS» team.

We hope that this project will become a key one in the development of student entrepreneurship, and in the future will allow our students to work not only as employees, but also to start their own business and create jobs.
