Competition on knowledge of criminal legislation within the framework of the concept of «Law and Order»

As part of the implementation of the «Law and Order» concept, a cognitive competition was held on September 18 among 3rd year students of the specialty «Jurisprudence», aimed at testing and consolidating knowledge in the field of criminal legislation.

The organizer and teacher of the competition was the teacher of special disciplines Uspanova Z.N.

The main purpose of the event was to increase students’ interest in the study of criminal legislation, develop legal literacy, logical thinking, ability to work in a team, as well as to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge in solving practical tasks.

The competition was held in several rounds, each of which included tasks of different levels of complexity. Students performed both team tasks requiring coordinated work, mutual assistance and collective decision-making, and individual tasks that allowed each participant to demonstrate the level of personal knowledge and training.

Of particular interest were the tasks related to the determination of types of criminal offenses, the imposition of punishment and knowledge of the institutions of the penitentiary system. Participants needed to quickly analyze the proposed situations, apply the norms of the law and argue their answers.

Holding such events within the framework of the concept of «Law and Order» contributes to the formation of a high legal culture among young people and awareness of the importance of compliance with the law in modern society.
