«Gems of the native land»

On September 12, 2024, at the Kostanay Higher College of Kazpotrebsoyuz, employees of the library named after L.N. Tolstoy held for freshmen an information dossier «Gem of the native land», dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Kazakh academician and public figure Kanysh Imantaevich Satpayev.

During the event, librarians talked about Satpayev’s life and professional achievements. The students also got acquainted with the books of the honorary citizen of Kostanay region, professor and honorary journalist of Kazakhstan Sergey Vasilyevich Kharchenko, who in his book «Passionary personalities and their time» mentioned Kanysh Imantaevich along with other prominent personalities.

The event ended with the screening of a fragment of the film «Secrets and Fates of the Great Kazakhs», dedicated to the role of Satpayev in the development of natural resources of Kazakhstan.
